We offer multiple constructions of non-residue labels, which allows you to select the label which best fits your application.

The following table summarizes and compares the relative performance and features of our non-residue label products.

Typically for most surfaces, when our SecureGuard™ labels are removed they will not leave adhesive residue for 3 months. However, the actual length of time for non-residue performance varies based on the surface. Please review the list of surfaces in the section “Choosing a Non-Residue Label” before selecting your label. Then request our free samples to test the labels before you order.

After affixing to the surface, the length of time for non-residue performance may be shortened if the label is exposed to temperatures above +120°F or below +30°F

To minimize adhesive residue on the surface, remove the label using a 180 degree peel angle.

If there is adhesive residue, it can be cleaned with a citrus-based household cleaner (Goo-gone, Orange Sol, etc) or isopropyl alcohol.

Our optional affixing pads may solve some issues for difficult surfaces:

1. For low energy surfaces (smooth plastic, textured plastics, powder coated paint, etc) apply an affixing pad which will increase the tamper evident feature.
2. For high energy surfaces (bare stainless steel, PVC plastic, etc.) apply an affixing pad which will extend the time duration for non-residue performance.

For the customized imprint, our standard process is to print custom text, logos and serial numbers on the surface of the label using thermal transfer resin ribbons. The thermal inks are durable to mechanical abrasion, scratching and most liquids and are suitable for most applications. However, thermal printed inks can be removed with certain solvents such as gasoline, alcohol, or lotions containing alcohol. As an added option, we also offer UV-cured ink jet (black ink only) imprints which are more durable.

If wrapping around the edge of a box, a narrow and long rectangle works best.

To block a mobile phone camera, the .5 x 1.875 inch label is compatible with most phones.
